Victoria W. Castro-Corral is a values-driven leader running for Governing Board Member with Roosevelt School District. She was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, with proud roots in Sonora, Mexico.

She is the second oldest of four and has an older sister and two younger brothers. She is the first in her immediate and extended family to earn a master's degree and is excited to begin her doctoral program this fall!

She is an advocate and educator with over eight years of experience working with college access and success programs. Victoria is currently the Supervisor for an Early College Program that supports high school students transitioning into college and the workforce. Her deep appreciation for higher education began in 6th grade when she started earning college credits. She values creating a support system where students can gain a sense of fun, freedom, power, and belonging.

The quote, “The world is your oyster” resonates with her because she loves seafood and her motto is to take advantage of the opportunities life has to offer. She enjoys traveling with her family and takes hot sauce to every destination. She loves trying unique food and learning about different cultures. She takes on new hobbies- this year she is learning how to sew and training for a half marathon. You can find Victoria exploring Downtown Phoenix and rooting for her Arizona Diamondbacks!
